Business Network Release 2024-11

22.11.2024

We’re continuously developing our products and services. Here are some highlights from this months’ Business Network development.

E-invoice receiving via email – Data capture enhancements with structured formats

E-invoices are typically exchanged through e-invoice networks, leveraging interoperability, Peppol, or via direct connections with business partners. When e-invoices are sent by email, they are usually in a PDF format. While data can be effectively captured from PDF documents, structured data formats within email attachments can provide even higher data quality and automation.

In Germany, for example, ZUGFeRD is a commonly used structured PDF format with a data component. Our solution has long supported data capture from these structured PDF formats, and we now offer enhanced capabilities to capture data directly from pure data formats, such as XRechnung, when they arrive via email. This means we are processing these formats as e-invoices as long as the requirements e.g. for data content and format are met.

This feature is particularly valuable for our German customers as the mandate deadline approaches the 1st of January 2025. OpusCapita is fully compliant with the German mandate and offers a wide range of channels for receiving and sending e-invoices, making it easy to exchange e-invoices with business partners.
