Business Network Release 2023-08

22.08.2023

We’re continuously developing our products and services. Here are some highlights from this months’ Business Network development.

Interoperability & messaging platform

Peppol network update

The Peppol release on August 7th, 2023, brought improvements to many of our Invoice Sending, Invoice Receiving, Order-to-Cash, and Purchase-to-Pay customers. We have released all the latest updates related to the Peppol interoperability framework. Many changes are on different country-specific validation related to organization numbers and adding support for more country specific identifiers.

The most significant change for OpusCapita customers is that the Swedish VAT number is no longer supported as an endpoint identifier in Peppol documents. Therefore, documents should be addressed-to and addressed-from using the Swedish organization number. Of course, the VAT number is still an incremental part of the invoice data, but it’s not routing data anymore.

For OpusCapita customers, more information is available in our Customer Service Portal.

The next Peppol release will be published approximately in a half a year.

Business Network Platform

Business Network Portal: Tax categories in invoice key-in & PO flip

When creating an invoice in Business Network Portal, suppliers can now define whether the invoice is taxable, using tax categories. When the invoice is created from a purchase order, the tax percentage and tax categories are automatically copied from the order lines. When the invoice is created by using a template, the correct tax percentage and tax category must be selected manually. Tax percentage is only defined in the invoice lines and automatically grouped (per percentage) and calculated in the invoice totals.

Tax categories are also used in the Peppol validation rules. For example, for invoices with 0% tax, the category shows the reasoning for the taxable amount and the invoice can be validated against Peppol. This makes it easier with invoices especially by very small suppliers who may invoice without VAT.

More information for our customers on taxes and surcharges on invoices can be found in the OpusCapita Knowledge Base.
