Business Network Release 2025-10

30.10.2025

We’re continuously developing our products and services. Here are some highlights from this month’s Business Network development.

OpusCapita Gains Accreditation as a Peppol Access Point in Japan

OpusCapita has officially been accredited as a Peppol Access Point in Japan. This achievement marks a major milestone in the company’s global expansion and strengthens its role in enabling seamless and secure electronic document exchange between businesses and public sector entities.

As an accredited Access Point, OpusCapita can now connect Japanese organizations to the international Peppol Network — streamlining e-invoicing while ensuring compliance with local and international standards.

Support for New Utility Statement Document Type in Denmark

We are pleased to announce the introduction of a new document type in Denmark — the Utility Statement. The Utility Statement is built on the international UBL 2.1 standard and adapted to the Danish OIOUBL framework to meet local requirements for utility billing and data exchange.

The Utility Statement functions as an invoice, providing essential technical and consumption data for utilities such as electricity, gas, and district heating. It ensures accurate and standardized information exchange for billing purposes.

To receive these statements, the Utility Statement document type must be added to your service profile. For receivers who have not yet activated this document type, the Utility Invoice/Statement will continue to be delivered as a normal invoice.

Business Partner API – New Capabilities

OpusCapita has previously released the Business Partner API, designed to streamline and accelerate the onboarding of companies for electronic invoicing. The API enables customers and partners to self-service create, enable, and manage their companies or entities to receive invoices, significantly reducing the time required to add new participants to the network.

Now, the API automatically configures e-invoice receiving capabilities within the OpusCapita service. This means that once set up, customers can fully manage their business entities as a self-service.  Additionally, the API automatically publishes updates to the Finnish TIEKE network, ensuring that e-invoice addresses are always up to date and available in the national network for seamless electronic transactions.

This enhancement is especially useful for complex organizations or accounting agencies that frequently undergo structural changes.
