OpusCapita announces change in ownership

Helsinki – 2. April 2019: OpusCapita Solutions announces today that it has successfully transitioned to a new owner, Providence Equity. OpusCapita is a leading provider of digital solutions and transaction processing for source-to-pay, cash management and product information management. Providence Equity is a premier global asset management firm with over $40 billion in aggregate capital commitments.

OpusCapita has been helping customers optimize their business processes with state-of-the-art technology since 1984. With support from Providence, OpusCapita will strengthen its capabilities as a leading platform, empowering customers to securely digitalize business processes to enable a real-time view of the business. As a first step, OpusCapita will accelerate its transition to a cloud-based SaaS platform.

“Our purpose is to digitalize global trade – one customer at a time. The ownership change is a logical step enabling us to even better fulfill this purpose. In addition to marking a new chapter in the OpusCapita story, we see this deal as a validation of our operational priorities and strategic vision. I am very excited about the journey ahead. The partnership with Providence will allow us to strengthen our position as a global leader and to support our customers in their digital transformation journey “, said Patrik Sallner, CEO OpusCapita.

Sallner continues: “E-invoicing is a key driver for digitalization of financial processes in companies. The global e-invoicing market is expected to grow by 25% annually from €3.3B in 2017 to €16.1B in 2024, with Europe as the most significant region. We will use our experience as a leader in the Nordic market, where e-invoice adoption is already high to support multinational companies in other parts of the world in adopting e-invoicing. We will kick-start this initiative by launching a world-class e-Transition program shortly”

Under the new ownership, OpusCapita expects to continue to leverage its strong position in European markets to support procurement, finance and sales organizations as they connect, transact and grow.
