OpusCapita supports the CFO of a Year contest in Poland

OpusCapita is 3rd year in a row the partner of “CFO of a Year” contest in Poland arranged by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Euler Hermes, a leading provider of trade-related credit insurance solutions and the Forbes magazine, the leading source for reliable business news and financial information. This is the 9th edition of the competition that acknowledges and gives respect to financial people such as Katarzyna Grabowska, Vice President & CFO of Bac-Pol and and Arkadiusz Dorynek, Member of the Board for Finances in Platige Image who were the respected winners of the title in 2012.

“Chief financial officers are the key people in organizations and we as a company focusing on financial processes wish to support the development and innovation in financial departments, supporting CFOs in their development and showing the way to future finances”, underlines Joanna Galuba, Marketing Manager of OpusCapita.

The CFO of a Year 2013 will be selected in two categories:

  • Small and medium-sized enterprises (yearly revenue up to 200 million PLN or employment less than 250 employees).
  • Big enterprises (yearly revenue higher than 200 million PLN or employment more than 250 employees).

Selection process and announcement of results

The winners will be chosen by Councils consisted of independent experts – people endowed by public reliance. Councils are going to analyze the information about candidates and companies they work for. The results of 9th edition of the Contest are going to be announced on 27th May 2014 during the Financial Managers’ Congress in Warsaw’s Sheraton hotel. The audit supervision of Contest’s progress and Councils’ work is done by Grant Thornton.
